Our checks and balances and democratic norms are being tested like never before.

That’s why the most pressing issue today is safeguarding our Constitution from a consolidation of power in the executive branch. This is not about any one party or personality.

When the executive branch ignores constitutional limits, Congress has an obligation to check that power. But right now, too many lawmakers are staying silent — intimidated, complicit, or both. We need Members of Congress to stand up for the oath they swore to defend the constitution and serve as the check and balance against executive overreach.
